RC Lens, founded in 1906, are the pride of the mining region of northern France. Their passionate "Bollaert" atmosphere is one of French football's most famous. After years in lower divisions, they returned to Ligue 1 in 2020 and immediately finished second in 2022/23, qualifying for the Champions League.
