📖 Club History

Chelsea FC was founded in 1905 and has been based at Stamford Bridge in Fulham ever since. After decades as a mid-table club, Roman Abramovich's takeover in 2003 transformed Chelsea into a global superpower. José Mourinho's "Special One" era brought back-to-back Premier League titles in 2004/05 and 2005/06. Under Carlo Ancelotti they won the Premier League and FA Cup double in 2010, and dramatically captured the Champions League in 2012 under Roberto Di Matteo. Since the Boehner Group's takeover in 2022, Chelsea have pursued an aggressive recruitment strategy.
